Our fees are quoted for each project on an individual basis. The fee quoted for a specific property reflects the size (living area) of the property, type of construction, age (we charge more for older properties), repair history (we charge more for houses with repaired foundations and other structural modifications), specific client needs, and how busy the market is. Please Note: Our fees are competitive for our engineering expertise and the amount of time we devote to your project. Home inspectors generally charge lower fees. If you do not need or want to retain a Professional Structural Engineer, you should contact a Licensed Real Estate Inspector. If you do not have a name, go to http://www.harei.com/residentiallist.htm. This will take you to a current membership list of the Houston Association of Real Estate Inspectors. The members who are home inspectors are identified with a TREC license number. The lower the number, the longer the inspector has been licensed. The following will give you an approximate idea of our fees: Foundation Performance Evaluations: $425 minimum Structural and Mechanical Inspections: 20 to 25 cents or more per square foot of living area depending on the age, complexity of construction and repair/remodeling history; $675 minimum |
