Our lawyer tells us we should never recommend anyone for anything.  I consider that to be pretty stupid but I guess it goes with the territory.  So do not consider any of the following a recommendation.  On the other hand I personally know each of the following individuals and have found them to be reliable professionals.  If I or someone in my family was buying a house or in need of a specialized service, these are the people I would retain.

Amrid Pest Control and Termite Company: I have known Tony Thayer (the owner) for 20-years.  He is an excellent choice for a termite inspection.  For my money, he is the best bug man in town when it comes explaining the report and any structural pest problems he finds.  The phone number is 713-880-3479.  Check out their website at www.amrid.com.

1st Choice Termite & and Pest: I have known Bill Beaty for over 20-years.  We once had adjoining offices and shared a secretary.  Bill's company works mainly in the Kingwood, Woodlands and North Houston areas.  You can reach them at 281-358-7378.

BioTech Pest Control: The guy I like here is Art Grant.  He is knowledgeable and a true professional.   Check their website at www.biotechpest.com.  The phone number is 281-296-6022.   

AQ Testing Services: Linda Lauver is the most knowledgeable mold inspector I know.  Her number is 713-305-2719.  Why she does not have a website is beyond me. 

Church Services: Church Services provides numerous residential services.  The services I am familiar with are termite inspections for home buyers and underground sewer testing.  Their phone number is 281-497-8602.

Forensic Engineers, Inc.: This is Ron Kelm's company.  He specializes in monitoring foundations over time for movement.  This is not a service that would normally be used for a real estate transaction since the time period involved runs from 6-months to 2-years or more.  His number is 713-468-8100.

Geotech Engineering and Testing, Inc.: This company provides services that would not normally be used in a real estate transaction, but some home owners may need some of the services provided.   The company is headed by David Eastwood, PE.  David is very knowledgeable about the soils found in the Greater Houston Area and how they affect house foundations.  The website is www.geotecheng.com.  The phone number is 713-699-4000.

Suncoast Post Tension: If I needed to replace a damaged cable or cables in a post tensioned slab foundation, I would call Russell Price at 281-445-8886.
